Gerry has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Major in Accounting), obtained in 1965 from the University of East, Manila, Philippines, and qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines in 1967. In 1982, he attended the Executive Program in Business Administration at Columbia University, New York, USA.

Gerry has 40 years of experience in public accounting in Singapore, with extensive experience in finanical audits of multinational companies, public listed companies and local companies in various industries such as automobile sales, services and distribution; construction; hotel; restaurant and catering, international and retail trading; insurance; marketing; manufacturing; and property development.

He was an Audit Principal with a large international audit and accounting firm from 1987 to 2005.

Gerry joined Moore Stephens LLP Singapore in August 2006 and is currently a Partner at the firm.

He has been a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) since 2005.
